Lettuce is not a heavy feeder, but consistent quality is crucial for succession sowing. Each crop should have similar growing conditions to the last.
Soil pH: Lettuce prefers 6.0-7.0 pH. Test your soil before establishing a succession sowing programme. Most Australian soils tend toward neutral to slightly alkaline, which is usually adequate.
